Supporters urged to lobby MPs on proper persons test

Vote Football 2

Leyton Orient fans are urging football supporters to lobby their MP to support a motion calling for a "genuine fit and proper persons test".

John Cryer, MP for Leyton and Wanstead, has tabled an Early Day Motion in the Commons calling on the Government to significantly strengthen the test for football club ownership.

Though the London club has avoided liquidation for now, the club is facing relegation from the EFL and its Italian owner, Francesco Becchetti, remains deeply unpopular.

The Vote Football campaign has once again been made available to supporters so they can contact their MPs directly, urging them to support John's motion.
