A news Fans For Diversity team will be taking on the LGBT-campaign group Stonewall to mark February's LGBT history month.

Fans For Diversity, an area of work between FSF and Kick It Out, has established its own football team and will mark its debut with a friendly match against Stonewall FC on Wednesday 22 February – with the campaign seeking players and staff to join for the first game at Imber Court, home of Metropolitan Police FC.

Ahead of this inaugural fixture, Fans For Diversity is looking for individuals and groups interested in becoming part of the team to fulfill a number of important roles including players, coaching staff and match officials.

Fans for Diversity campaign manager Anwar Uddin said: "I can’t wait for Fans For Diversity FC to kick-off later this month at Imber Court.

"We want to encourage everyone, regardless of background or ability, to come and join the team whether as a player, manager, coach, support staff or fan to be part of something truly unique."
