Our Away Fans Survey is back again this season, entering its sixth year of recording the away fan experience across England and Wales.
Our Away Fans Survey gives travelling supporters the opportunity to tell us about their away trips, providing valuable feedback on pricing, access, facilities, stewarding and much more.
Last season, the Away Fans Survey was completed by almost 3,800 away fans. Once again Cardiff City, previous winners of the FSF Away Day of the Year, performed well scoring 8.04. That score was the highest in the country, just beating their Welsh rivals Swansea City.
Cardiff City was the most-liked away day in the Championship, while Southampton were rated highest in the Premier League. Fleetwood Town finished top in League One and Chesterfield were rated highest in League Two.
The Away Fans Survey provides us with a huge amount of extremely useful data on how away fans are treated across the divisions.
This anonymised data is shared with clubs looking to improve key areas of their away supporter experience.
Additionally, the data has been shared with more than 50 affiliate and associate members of the FSF to help them learn more about the away end at their clubs.
FSF deputy chief executive David Rose said: “The Away Fans Survey has proved to be extremely helpful for clubs and the football authorities when understanding the needs of away fans.
“We’d urge supporters to take the time to fill in the survey this season so we can continue to make sure away fans are not just an afterthought but a vital part of our footballing culture.”
