Chelsea have agreed to drop prices for 16-21 year olds for their Premier League trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday, December 28, 2008, following discussions between the club and the Football Supporters’ Federation.

Over the past week we’ve received numerous complaints from Chelsea supporters who pointed out that the club were not passing on discounted tickets which were on offer to Fulham’s fans. This would appear to be in breach of the FA Handbook which states visiting supporters should not be charged more than home fans for comparable seats. Notably the rule makes specific reference to concessionary tickets.

Alan Bloore, of the FSF, said: “It is pleasing to report that Fulham and Chelsea were both willing to listen to the arguments we raised on ticket pricing, and have responded positively. They have agreed that our complaint was valid and will refund those in the relevant age category who have paid the full price.”

Tickets wrongly priced at £48 for visiting fans between the ages of 16-21 have now been dropped to £35 and reflect home prices. For more details on how to claim back your money visit Chelsea’s website.

This is not the first time that the FSF has heard of away clubs failing to pass on discounts offered at Craven Cottage, the last incident involved West Ham United who also changed their policy once we got in touch.
